Posto sam primetio da veliki broj igraca nije upoznat sa samim Half Life Engine-om, ovde cu dati koliko-toliko detaljno objasnjenje. Takodje ovde necu navoditi najbolje komande, niti pokusati da vam nametnem neka svoja podesavanja, vec cu samo objasniti sta zapravo znace komande koje unosite u konzolu.

choke: Choke je zapravo odredjen vremenom kada se sledeci paket moze poslati i racuna se na sledeci nacin:

1. Trenutno vreme + 1/cl_updaterate 2. Trenutno vreme + broj byte-ova trenutno poslatih / rate
Ako igrate sa visokim cl_updaterate onda je vrlo moguce da cete dobiti veci choke, jer vasa konekcija nece moci da podnese slanje/primanje paketa. Takodje na choke utice i broj igraca na serveru. Sto veci broj igraca, vise se podataka salje, te se javlja veci choke. Sta je onda choke? Choke je jedan efekat koji se javlja kada server pokusava da ustanovi moze li poslati paket client-u (igracu) na svaki frame nakon trenutnog vremena, pre no sto se obavi sledece sabiranje + 1/cl_updaterate, time choke znatno utice na vas shot registration, te ce pri vecem choke biti primetan veoma los shot registration (registracija metka i pogodaka). Moze se reci da je cesto mesanje termina gutanje i bad shot registration, jer gutanje (loss – da na objasnjavam zasebno) je kada server ne obradi neki vas paket koji ste poslali ili se izgube paketi koje server vama salje zbog lose internet konekcije, dok je losa registracija hita kada server kompenzuje za vas protok podataka i pokusava da ustanovi da li moze poslati paket ili ne, te u tom vremenu nastaje choke i losa registracija. Sto je vise vremena potrebno da bi se izvrsila kompanzacija to je veci choke.

Interpolacija:
Interpolacija je zapravo, u matematickom smislu, metod konstruisanja novih podataka na osnovu jednog ogranicenog broja vec postojecih podataka. U Counter Strike-u se moze primeniti ista definicija. Half Life Engine koristi interpolaciju kako bi skladistio pozicije i vremena kada su te pozicije u igri bile tacne. Dalje se interpolacija preko ex_correct analizira kako bi se pronasle dve najbolje pozicije u istoriji. Ovo ne moraju biti poslednje dve pozicije, jer su bitne dve najbolje – najtacnije pozicije i vremena u kojima se igrac nalazio, kako bi se dalje mogla vrsiti sinteza i predikcija sledece pozicije u vremenu.
Pre no sto predjem na ex_interp komandu napisacu o cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate i rate komandama, jer je potrebno prvo te objasniti.


cl_cmdrate:
Ova komanda odredjuje broj komandi(paketa – update-ova)/sekundi koji client (igrac) salje serveru. Sto je veci broj, to ce server brze reagovati na komande koje vi zadajete tokom igre. Ukoliko imate dobru konekciju, onda je potrebno da stavite cmdrate na sto vecu vrednost.


cl_updaterate
Analogna komandi cl_cmdrate, samo sto radi obrnuto. Odredjuje broj paketa/sekundi koje vi mozete primiti od servera, tako da je usko vezan za vasu brzinu download-a, dok je cl_cmdrate vezan za brzinu upload-a. Sto je veca vrednost cl_updaterate bicete bolje sinhronizovani sa serverom, posto server je taj koji odredjuje da li je bio hit ili ne, time vi zelite da primite sto vise update-ova od strane servera tokom igre.


sv_maxupdaterate:
Kao sto cl_updaterate odredjuje broj paketa koje mozete da primite od servera u sekundi, tako ova komanda odredjuje koliko sam server paketa moze da posalje u sekundi. Ova komanda se odnosi samo na server i vama kao igracu ne znaci nista.


sv_maxrate:
Maksimum podataka koje client moze da trazi od servera izrazeni u byte-ovima. Ovo je na vecini servera podeseno na “0″, sto je mozda i lose. Evo zasto. Ukoliko je sv_maxrate “0″, onda server detektuje podesavanja rate-ova svih igraca i pokusava da takoreci izadje svima u susret time sto ce ispunjavate zahteve svih igraca za protok podataka. Zamislite sada da se nadju igraci koji ce podesiti rate na neke besmislene cifre (npr. 99999999, 1, 0, 60000), te ce server pokusati da ispuni takav protok podataka i time ce se preopteretiti, te su neke optimalne vrednosti za sv_maxrate 20000 u zavisnosti od masine na kojoj je server.


sv_minrate:
Isto kao sv_maxrate samo odredjuje minimum podataka koje client moze traziti od servera.


sys_ticrate:
Ova komanda namesta maksimalan broj frame-ova/sekundi koje server moze da kalkulise. odnosno maximalan broj update-ova koje server moze da posalje i primi. Takodje se odnosi na server, a ne na igraca.


rate:
Vrlo jednostavno, broj paketa (u byte-ovima), ili tacnije informacija, koje client (igrac) zahteva od servera. I bitno za znati, visok rate ne utice na choke i loss, vec na choke i loss najvise mogu uticati cl_updaterate i cl_cmdrate, dok se pokazalo da u vecini slucajeva veci rate cak smanjuje choke i loss, a da bi se izbegao choke i loss, moze se smanjivati updaterate i cmdrate. Postoji jedna cinjenica da je maksimalan rate 20000, koji se moze izvuci od servera i obicno je zakucan na tu cifru, te stavljanje rate na sve iznad 20000 samo zahteva vise od konekcije, dok se zapravo ne dobija vise. Zasto se onda stavlja na 25000? Vrlo jednostavno. Upravo zbog onog moguceg propusta ili gubitka podataka, koji se javlja, te taj visak koji se zahteva od servera kompenzuje za gubitak koji se javi. Kako su ljudi iz Half Life developer team-a naglasili rate bi bilo dobro stavljati na 20000, ali vecina stavlja na 25000 ili cak na 30000, upravo zbog nedostatka u protoku informacija, te tim viskom zahteva od servera veci broj paketa kako ne bi izbegli taj nedostatak.


ex_interp:
Posto ne mozete biti savrseno sinhronizovani sa serverom u svakom trenutku, jer primate samo odredjeni broj podataka (update-ova) u sekundi, tu dolazi u funkciju ex_interp. Postoji delic vremena izmedju svakog update-a u kom se javlja Half Life mehanika predikcije. Ex_interp odredjuje vreme (izrazeno u sekundama) potrebno da bi se izvrsila interpolacija (gore objasnjeno) izmedju svakog sukcesivnog update-a. Poste je ex_interp nesto sto se obavlja na strani client-a igraca, ne moze se ocekivati savrsena konzistentnost sa igrom vidjenom od strane servera. Veoma vazna stvar, ex_interp je usko vezan za cl_updaterate, jer se ex_interp zapravo racuna na sledeci nacin: 1/cl_updaterate. Ovo znaci da vreme izmedju svakog paketa je tacno 1/broj update-ova po sekundi, a da bi se postigla ovakva racunica potrebno je da se ex_interp podesi na “0″ i nikako drugacije, jer sva ostala podesavanja prave lose predikcije i remeti se vreme izmedju update-a. Recimo da je cl_updaterate 101, onda 1/101=0.00990099…, a ovo ce se svaki put dobiti kada se ex_interp podesi na “0″, jer ce time automatski da se izvrsi racunica u odnosu na ostala podesavanja, te ce sinhronizacija biti znatno bolja.
Nadam se da ce vam sve ovo biti od pomoci za bolje razumevanje rada same igrice, kao i da bi se smanjila prepucavanja na serveru oko gutanja i tih stvari. Najvaznije je da se shvati da je ovo samo igrica i kao takva ne sme da utice na vase opste rapolozenje, a pogotovo ne ovakvi detalji koje sam ovde naveo. Ukoliko sam nesto izostavio izvinjavam se, pa ce biti edit da izvrsim neophodne dopune i ispravke. Kasnije ce biti i engleska verzija ovoga, a mozda bih prevod prepustio nasem Jogurtu, jer se on bavi pomenutim jezikom.

The console of Counter Strike 1.6


1. Introduction
The system console can be activated at anytime by pressing the tilde key. ( ~ )
The console displays a lot of useful data such as gameplay messages ,error messages, recent chat... etc.


2. Performance Commands
These commands alter game performance.

fps_override (0-1) = Allows you to override default fps with your own.
fps_max (0-999) = Sets the maximum framerate.
fastsprites (0-2) = Sets the complexity of smoke sprites. 0 looks the best.
max_shells (0-999) = Sets the maximum number of shells allowed at one time.
max_smokepuffs (0-999) = Sets maximum number of smokepuffs allowed at one time.
rate (0-20000) = Sets how much data you receive from a server.
cl_cmdrate (0-105) = Number of data you send to the server.
cl_cmdbackup (0-10) = Number of data that is buffered for server.
cl_updaterate (0-102) = How many server update data you receive.
bgmvolume (0-1) = Toggles CD audio on or off. 1 is on and 0 is off.
brightness (1-3) = 1 is darkest while 3 is brightest.
gamma (1-3) = Sets gamma correction. Warning: may require a restart.
cl_weather (0-3) = Sets weather quality. 0 is off,3 is highest quality.
gl_cull (0-1) = Toggles rendering of visible objects only. 1 is on while 0 is off.
gl_spriteblend (0-1) = toggles sprite blending. 1 is on, 0 is off.
gl_smoothmodels (0-1) = Toggles model smoothing. 1 is on, 0 is off.
gl_ansio (0-16) = Sets value of anisotropic filtering.
gl_vsync (0-1) = Toggles video syncing. 0 is off,1 is on.
hisound (0-1) = Toggles high sound quality. 0 is low quality, while 1 is high quality.
r_drawviewmodel (0-1) = Toggles weapon model viewing. 0 is off,1 is on
r_dynamic (0-1) = Toggles dynamic lighting. 0 is off,1 is on.
snd_noextraupdate (0-1) = Disables extra sound updates. 0 is off,1 is on.
viewsize (value) = Resizes pixels.
quit = Exits game instantly.


3. Gameplay and Control
These commands alter controls and personal game elements.

cl_dynamiccrosshair (0-1) = Sets crosshair movement when moving. 0 is off,1 is on.
cl_allowdownload (0-1) = 1 allows you to download custom server content,0 doesn't.
cl_dlmax (value) = How fast you download in-game.
cl_crosshair_color (value,value,value) = Allows you to change the color of your crosshair.
cl_lefthand,righthand (0-1) Changes weapon alignment. 1 is on,0 is off.
cl_nosmooth "1"
cl_vsmoothing "0"
cl_smoothtime "0" = Makes players look choppy but shows actual positions instead of estimated.
cl_radartype (0-1) = Changes radar from transparent to solid. 0 is transparent, 1 is solid.
cl_himodels (0-1) = Toggles Condition Zero player models. 0 is off, 1 is on.
cl_minmodels (0-1) = 0 is default while 1 makes each team only use one model. Great for beginning players.
say (message) = Let's you type a message through console, plus you can copy and paste a message.
say_team (message) = Allows you to send a team message through console, plus you can copy and paste a message.
hud_fastswitch (0-1) = Toggles fast weapon switching. 1 is on, 0 is off.
hud_deathnotice_time (value) = Sets how long death messages stay on screen.
hud_saytext_time (value) = Sets how long chat messages stay on screen. Spammers beware!
hud_drawhistory_time (value) = How long hud items stay on screen.
hud_centerid (0-1) Centers player ids. 1 is on,0 is off.
m_filter (0-1) Toggles mouse filtering. 1 is on,0 is off.
m_rawinput (0-1) = Toggles raw mouse reading.
m_customaccel "0"
m_customaccel_exponent "0"
m_customaccel_max "0"
m_customaccel_scale "0" = Turns off mouse acceleration.
motd = Displays Server's message of the day.


4. Fun Commands
These commands require you to be in server admin and have sv_cheats 1 entered in the console.

impulse 102 = Splatter bones and tissue.
impulse 202 = Allows you to spray blood.
kill = Player suicide.
thirdperson = Sets viewmode in third perspective.

cl_forwardspeed,cl_backspeed,cl_sidespeed (number) = Increase or decrease player speed.
give weapon_(name) = Gives player weapon.
skin-(skinname) = Changes player skin.
sv_clienttrace 999999999 = Enables extreme auto-aim.
mp_footsteps (0-1) = Toggles footsteps. 0 is off,1 is on.
sv_gravity (number) = Changes gravity. Try entering negative values.

▶️ CS BAZA ZNANJA / [cs tut] CS 1.6 install location issue

With the recent update the install location for Counter-Strike 1.6 moved to SteamApps/common/Half-Life .
If you are experiencing crashes on startup after the update, and are running on Windows, it is possible that your install failed to convert to the new location, it may still be trying to run from the old folder.
! To fix this issue delete your Counter-Strike install and install it again, after making a copy of any custom configurations you may have made.

Counter-Strike features a variety of weapons, ranging from knives to shotguns and submachine guns.
The weapons for Counter-Strike were chosen mainly based on two criteria.
For one, the weapons had to be satisfying to use and they had to look and sound cool.
The other criteria was realism and what weapons the factions would likely be using in real-life.
The former of these criteria was given more weight than ensuring authenticity.

Inspiration for potential weapon candidates were taken from various movies. For example, the movie Ronin inspired the inclusion of the Krieg 552 and M249. Further inspiration was also taken from the movies Air Force One and the Professional.

Most of the information regarding the weapons themselves was sourced from the internet or from gun magazines.[38] Because limited information was available regarding some of the weapons, Minh Le had to guess how some weapons could have functioned when animating them and thus a few weapon models exhibit differences when compared to their real-world counterparts.

Counter-Strike notably features left-handed weapon view models. These models were made as left-handed because the creator of these models and the main man behind Counter-Strike, Minh Le, is left-handed and thus preferred animating the weapons from that side.[40] The game features a possibility of changing the models to right-handed, but as the models are simply mirrored from their left-handed counterparts they sport some inaccuracies when compared to their real-world counterparts.
